Imagine earning money simply by walking through your front door. Now imagine getting a sizable return on an investment merely by sleeping in your own bedroom. Sound too good to be true? Not if you’re a homeowner!
While it’s fair to say that most of our first-time buyers are genuinely excited about having a property to call their own, many overlook the substantial investment they’re making in the property and the potential long-term returns they can expect. Whether you’re interested in building on the equity in your home after your purchase, or perhaps considering paying off the mortgage in the shortest period of time, call or email us and we’ll start making your house work for you.

Current Market Conditions
Because of the ever-changing nature of the real estate market, it’s imperative that our clients have the most up-to-date information available. Far too often buyers miss out on their dream home because the property was listed and then sold before they even had a chance to see it.
As your real estate professional, I strive to keep my clients aware of newly-listed homes that may fit their criteria. Tired of waiting around for listings? Not very internet-savvy? Call or email me to find out how I can help you keep on top of the latest market listings.

A Little Knowledge
All you really need to know when you’re buying a home is how much the closing costs will be and how much your monthly mortgage payment will be, right?
Wrong!
When you consider the myriad of expenses involved with any real estate transaction – title, inspections, escrow, realtor/broker/lender fees – it’s of the utmost importance to have at least a basic understanding of the fees involved. After all, you’re the one who will be paying for it over the next 30 years! Call or email me and together we’ll make sure there are no surprises at the closing table.

Have Your Cake And Eat It Too
One of the biggest misconceptions my clients have about homeownership is that the financial burden of a mortgage will be too much to continue the lifestyle to which they’ve become accustomed. Why, they ask, should I bother with such an enormous sacrifice?
The answer is that the relatively low interest rates of today’s market combined with the numerous tax and equity benefits of homeownership are only a couple of the rewards of an investment in real estate. As your personal real estate expert, it’s my job to explain the many benefits of being a homeowner. Call or email me for a free consultation.

Ideas
Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen.” John Steinbeck
Not having a choice in buying or selling a home is frustrating. But having too many choices can be just as frustrating. So my job often involves generating a lot of options, but then carefully sorting them out.
In learning your criteria for buying or selling and helping you to focus on “first things first,” I can streamline your transaction and improve the result. For example, I can save time for buyers by introducing them to neighborhoods and the related demographic information. If you are selling a home, you’ll want to study recent sales in your area. You may want to request an online comparative market analysis. And everyone likes to look for homes for sale, don’t they? To find all this and more, please visit my web site at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com
My goal is to help buyers and sellers get together. Count on me to provide Premier Customer Service for you in your next move. Okay, like a magician sometimes, I’ll pull the bunny out of the hat!

Salesmanship
“Life itself is a matter of salesmanship.” Thomas J. Watson
High-pressure salespeople turn me off. I don't know about you, but when I start to feel pressure, I stop listening. I usually just say “no” and move along. I never want to be one of those high-pressure people. I like my working relationships to be smooth and comfortable.
It seems that some homebuyers know just what they want. They look at one or two homes, and buy one of those two. Others seem to search forever. Either way, my commitment is to be available for them. To answer questions, to find the house, to handle the details of buying and moving.
If you would like to see the real estate market from your computer, or you’d like to generate up-to-the minute reports on the market or neighborhoods you are looking at, please visit http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com.
If you know of anyone who’s thinking of selling a home, now is an excellent time. I can help them to sell and buy. Let me know whenever you, or a friend, are ready to move, won't you?

No Instruction Book
“Now there is one outstandingly important fact regarding Spaceship Earth, and that is that no instruction book came with it.” Buckminster Fuller
Wouldn’t it be nice if you had the instruction book and warranty information for your TV, DVD, garage door opener, microwave and other electrical appliances?
Not having the right information on hand could cost you. If you're like most people you don't always return the warranty card, do you? So when it's time to call for needed service, you may not get what you need. And you may have to pay too much for service that otherwise could be “under warranty.”
When its time to sell your home, the new buyer would appreciate all the information on the equipment in the house, too. So my suggestion to help you get full value for your updated appliances and equipment is to keep all the manuals, receipts and warranty info in one drawer in the kitchen. Or, get a single file box and keep all the information in one place.
When it's time to get everything together to sell your home, you don't need a file box, a warranty, or even a manual. Just call me, and I'll schedule time to put together a complete marketing plan. I'll provide RE/MAX Premier Customer Service every step of the way. So, relax. Call me whenever you need me. There's no charge for a “service call!”

Oops! I Spilled
“Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing.” Phyllis Diller
“Oops! I spilled!” Do you know how to clean up a spill from your beautiful carpet? Whether it’s a child’s spilled milk or an adult’s goblet of wine, the first and most important step for preventing a spill from turning into a stain is by blotting up as much moisture as you possibly can.
If there are solids, scrape them up and blot with lots of clean towels. Paper towels work well. Here is one key pointer. Do not rub! If you're thinking of using spot remover, wait until you have thoroughly blotted the area. You probably know that club soda is an instant spot remover. Pour a little on the spot, wait a few seconds, and blot the area.
While you are waiting for the spot to dry, if you’d like the latest real estate news, or to check recent home sales in your area, please visit my web site at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com. You’ll see that we’ve taken the time to prevent problems in buying or selling real estate by providing the most current information the real estate marketplace.
I promise that when you invite me over to talk about buying or selling real estate that I'll deliver RE/MAX Premier Customer Service. And I’ll be neat. No spills!

Oysters And Other Challenges
“He was a bold man that first ate an oyster.” Jonathan Swift
Many accidents are caused when children get into things they don't understand. Electricity is one of those dangers. Precautions can help a lot. For example, did you know that you could insert an ordinary key ring through the holes in an electrical plug prong? That quick step will make it almost impossible for a child to insert the plug in a wall outlet. That’s easy, isn't it? Of course, as children get older, they can outsmart this safety precaution.
As an adult, you’ve probably experienced a lot of challenging situations. Perhaps it was eating raw oysters. Or maybe rock-climbing. And today you may be tempted to try something dangerous like guessing about the value of your home. Or making improvements without analyzing how they will benefit (or cost) you.
Don't take a chance. Visit my web site at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com for information on recent home sales, how to prepare your home for sale, or for an online market analysis. As a RE/MAX Sales Associate I can offer you the most up-to-date information. Be safe at home and in your move, too. Call on me before you do anything hazardous to your financial well-being, won't you? You'll be glad you did!

Be Prepared
“It is important to familiarize yourself with the use of fire extinguishers in your vicinity, as improper or untimely use may be counterproductive.” Wikipedia (encyclopedia)
“FIRE!” The words, or a fire itself, can create panic in a theater, danger in an automobile, or destruction on a boat. However, it can do the same thing at your home. So get a fire extinguisher and keep it handy. It's more essential to your comfort and safety than any piece of furniture.
Experts suggest that you get a fire extinguisher rated “ABC,” indicating that it can handle most common types of fires: wood and paper, flammable liquid and electrical. Locate it in a visible, accessible place, preferably near an exit. Check the equipment periodically to make sure it's fully charged. Your smoke detectors will alert you to a problem, and your fire extinguisher will give you peace of mind and a tool for an emergency, if and when you need it.
This information is provided in order to keep your family and your home safe. Whenever you need to familiarize yourself with real estate values, homes for sale, schools, or demographics, reach out to my web site at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com. It’s easy.
My goal is to help you avoid any problems or emergencies in your real estate transactions. I can help you with information about your home's value, a possible move, or any other real estate matter. If you or a friend has a real estate problem or emergency, sound the alarm! I'll be alert for your call, anytime you need me.

It's A Small World
“It’s a small world, but I wouldn’t want to have to paint it.” Steven Wright
What is the fastest way to brighten a room, sharpen décor, and make a room look like new? You guessed it! It's a fresh coat of paint. That's the tried and true method for a quick makeover.
When it's time to paint, can you really tell the future color by holding up a sample that's hardly bigger than a postage stamp? Experts say no. But they offer help. Get six or eight of the same samples and tape them together into a block of color. Tape them to the wall and observe the effects of natural light, incandescent light, and how the room changes. If in doubt, go a couple shades lighter than the dramatic color you might be considering. Remember that color seems to darken and intensify as you spread it across the walls.
If what you need is not a paint job, but a whole new home, then call me. It's easy! You'll need no brushes. There's no cleanup and no stress. You can even begin your search for your new home by using the dream home finder on my website. Just go to http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com. You can even browse homes for sale. If you see one in a color you like, go ahead and schedule a showing. I’ll be there!
When you’re ready to move, I'll help you find the right home in any color you want!

Knowledge Is Power
“Knowledge is power.” Sir Francis Bacon
Do you know the #1 enemy of saws, drills, and power tools?
Surprise! It's sawdust. Experts tell us that the stuff accumulates inside the motor and in the motor vents. So, what's the fix? You get your choice. You can vacuum the stuff from the housing and vents every month or so. Or, use your air compressor or canned air (available at an office supply store) to clean things up. This knowledge can help keep the power in your power tools!
You know you're overdue for this maintenance when the tool you are using gets too hot to handle. If you get into a job that's over your head, call a professional.
Please remember that selling your home and moving is not a do-it-yourself project. Visit my web site at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com for information on how to sell your home, current market values, or special neighborhood information. This is just one part of our RE/MAX Premier Customer Service.
So, if you, or a friend, are ever in a real estate situation that’s too hot to handle, call me, and I'll handle all the details. My knowledge can give you the power to succeed!

More Entertaining Than TV
“There are days when any electrical appliance in the house, including the vacuum cleaner, offers more entertainment than the TV set.” Harriet Van Horne
Saturday may be your day to get out the shop-vac and tidy up. Aren’t they great? They help clean up spills, drain a hot tub, or vacuum the cars. Oh, and they work in the shop, too.
When you empty your shop-vac, notice the filter. It’s probably made of paper. How can that filter hold up with all the different tasks that it must perform in its lifetime? You need a helping hand to extend the life of your shop vacuum. Chances are you have a handy solution on hand -- in your wastebasket.
Would you believe that cutting off the legs of an old pair of panty hose provides a perfect “pre-filter?” Just tie the ends in knots, and slide the waistband portion over the top of the filter. The suction of the vacuum won't be reduced, and you can clean your new “filter” anytime, just by rinsing it out! This can get you to your favorite TV show faster!
Or, it will give you time to check out my website at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com. You’ll find up-to-date information on recent home sales, current inventory, or an opportunity to prepare an online market analysis.
If you are looking for simple solutions to buying or selling real estate, I can help. Just give a call or email, and I’ll lend a helping hand.

Pride In A Job Well Done
It’s a fine thing to rise above pride, but you must have pride in order to do so.” Georges Bernanos
Do you take pride in making small repairs or even in tackling big projects at home? Well, you are to be admired. You have courage. And you probably have tools. Most of what I know about being handy and about real estate, I learned through the mistakes of others.
I confess I'm not a handyman. I’m a RE/MAX Sales Associate. I'm busy helping people buy and sell their homes. I'm constantly in and around homes. That includes homes that either need repair, or are currently under renovation. So while I'm helping people move, I can collect top-secret ideas from craftsmen, handymen and others who really know what they are doing “on the job.” They have pride in a job well-done.
If you’re considering remodeling, adding on, or making a move in real estate, please call me. I’ll use my practiced eye to save you time and effort. If you are interested in doing some of the work yourself, please visit my website for the latest information on recent home sales, or to use my dream home finder. Please visit my web site at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com.
When it’s time to make a move, I will be proud to use my experience and planning to streamline your home-buying or selling project!

Security System
“Burglars, judging by our statistics, define opportunity as an unoccupied, unlocked house stocked with portable television sets.” Gerald Cvetko
Does your home have a security system or burglar alarm? If it does, use it. If not, consider doing something to make your home more secure.
If you'd like to foil a burglar's attempt to break into your home, consider the three worst enemies of burglars: light, time and noise. Exterior lights mounted out of reach can reduce the chances of a break-in. By using padlocks, door and window locks, bars or grates, you make the job tougher, too. If it's going to be tough, it'll take too much time. That’s often enough to get burglars to move on to an easier target.
Noise such as a barking dog, an alarm or even music in the background may be enough to spook the burglar. So take a look at your home and do something to make it safer, won't you?
I’m working hard to make your next move safer by providing current information to help you know the real estate marketplace. On my web site at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com you’ll find neighborhood information, maps, demographics, and home sales. Check it out!
When it's time to buy or sell real estate, I'll do all I can to help you be safe and secure in your move, too. Call anytime.

Count Your Money
“If you can count your money, you don’t have a billion dollars.” J. Paul Getty
The longer I'm in the business of real estate, the more I find that sellers and buyers of real estate are looking for accuracy and attention to detail. That’s a part of our RE/MAX Premier Customer Service.
When it comes to measuring for carpet, drapes or wallpaper, I've learned to trust the professionals. They know the old rule about measuring twice and cutting once. However, if you are in a bind and need to measure something like a picture frame, piece of furniture or an object of art, you can relax. You always have a ruler handy, if you have a dollar bill.
Remember that a dollar bill is 6¼ inches long. That's about a half a foot, right? If you fold it in half, it's 3 inches the wide way, or 1¼ inches the narrow way. This works great for items that are a couple of feet across.
Please don't try measuring your house with a dollar! In fact, if you want to get a measurement of your home’s value, you can look at recent home sales, real estate news, or an online market analysis by visiting my web site at http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com.
I’ll work to earn your trust, and save you time while you continue to work at what you do best. I'll do all the work to determine the sizes, features and the market value of the home you're in. Or, I’ll help locate the home you want to be in. Or both! Just call me when you need me.

Dogs and Cats
“Dogs come when they’re called; cats take a message and get back to you later.” Mary Bly
It's really true that dogs are your “best friend.” However, when the dog gets into a skunk or other smelly stuff, it's time for a bath!
There's a secret to removing strong smells. Pre-wash your pet with full-strength tomato juice before you wash with shampoo. Then use a special rinse of a few tablespoons of ammonia mixed with a gallon of warm water. Be sure to keep this rinse away from the dog's eyes. Use plain warm water for a final rinse. In a short time your pooch will be back to his or her tricks, smelling sweet, instead of sour.
If you can use this tip, I'm glad for you, and for your pet. My job as a RE/MAX Sales Associate is to help remove the unpleasant parts of shopping, financing and handling details when you make a real estate move. To show you how easy I’ve made it, please visit my website and see how you can search for your dream home and get information without hassles! Just go to http://dallaschambers.agentsrealty.com. If you are a cat lover, I think you’ll find that “It’s the cat’s meow.”
